About the Event

India Book of Records recognizes and documents historical records. Intellectual minds at WizKlub have set on to create the World’s First Internet of Things Programming League of ONE MILLION LINES OF CODE.

An unparalleled event designed for our young programmers to come about in an absolute online environment. You will witness 1000 children, in the age group 5-14, coming together across various locations around India, using multiple programming languages and participating online to program the ‘World’s First IoT Virtual Lab’ situated in Bangalore.

The Event will Unfold in 3 stages

Participants will take part in a mini event wherein, they will be given guidance to solve a short problem in a set-up similar to the India Book of Records (IBR) event. Short-listed students qualify for the finale of the India Book of Records Event. In addition to this, parents will get an opportunity to learn about India’s first Young Product Designer Program

Short-listed students who qualify for the final event will be undergoing 2 workshop sessions, which will be conducted 10 days prior to the event, for their overall preparation. These workshop sessions will help the kids understand the procedure of the event along with polishing their knowledge.

In the first week of July, we will witness 1000 students coming together from various geographical locations to participate in this historical event. An event which is one of its kind where kids will be programming in the virtual lab in order to display the Indian flag with smart lights.

World's First IPL (Internet of Things Programming League) of 1Million Lines of Code - India Book of Records

Kids of two age groups can participate in the event: from Grade 1 to 5 and from Grade 6 to 9.

It is preferable not mandatory though, that the child is familiar with some Block-based programming (such as Google's Blockly or MIT Scratch.

  • All Wiz Kids who have opted for any coding program or YPDP program can take part in the event.
  • Students who have succesfully registered with the event are eligible to participate.
  • 15th June 2021 is the last date of registration through the wizblock.com portal. Note: On-the-spot entry is not obliged.

‘India Book of Records’ accepts records from people of Indian origin only. Anyone can apply in ‘India Book of Records’ however in the case of minors they need to seek written permission from their guardian.
